Privacy Policy
Effective date: 17 October 2026
MobiWave WA is a business messaging and automation service operated by MobiWave Innovations Ltd (“MobiWave”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the MobiWave WA dashboard and its WhatsApp integration.
Information we handle
- Account and workspace information: account email, user and workspace identifiers, role and authentication/session information.
- WhatsApp integration information: WhatsApp Business Account and phone-number identifiers, configuration status, message-template metadata and integration diagnostics. Access tokens are intended to be encrypted on the server and are not displayed back in full.
- Messaging data: contact phone numbers and names, recorded consent or opt-out status, messages and conversation history, campaign details, delivery statuses and timestamps that customers choose to process through the service.
- Technical and usage data: security logs, error reports and service-usage information needed to operate and protect the platform.
How we use information
We use information to provide and maintain the service; authenticate users and enforce workspace access; connect to the official Meta WhatsApp Cloud API; send or receive messages requested by an authorised customer; manage templates, delivery status and consent; provide support; investigate abuse or failures; and meet applicable legal obligations.
Customers are responsible for ensuring they have an appropriate legal basis and any required consent before uploading contact data or sending marketing messages. We support consent and opt-out controls, but customers remain responsible for their campaigns and recipient lists.
WhatsApp and service providers
When a customer connects WhatsApp, information necessary to operate messaging is exchanged with Meta Platforms and the WhatsApp services under Meta’s applicable terms and policies. We may also use infrastructure and service providers that host the application, database, authentication and operational logs. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
Security
We use access controls and technical safeguards intended to protect information, including tenant-scoped access and server-side handling of integration credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Customers should protect their login credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorised access.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security and records, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable law. Retention can vary by data type and customer configuration. When information is no longer required, we take steps to delete or de-identify it where appropriate, subject to lawful retention requirements and necessary security records.
You can request access, correction or deletion of personal information associated with MobiWave WA by contacting info@mobiwave.co.ke. Include enough detail for us to identify the relevant account or workspace, but do not email passwords, access tokens or other secrets. We may need to verify the request and coordinate with the business customer that supplied the data. Some records may need to be retained where the law requires it.
For the dedicated process, see our User Data Deletion page.
International processing
Our hosting or service providers, including Meta, may process information in countries other than the country where the user is located. Where applicable, we take steps intended to ensure processing is handled under relevant contractual and legal safeguards.
Children
MobiWave WA is a business service and is not designed for children to create accounts independently. Customers must use the service in accordance with applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will publish the current version on this page and update the effective date.
